Private and group training built around your athlete. Los Angeles.
Dan Murray is the founder of Sessions Lacrosse. 15+ years coaching lacrosse from youth through NCAA across New Jersey, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Victoria, Australia.
The game teaches more than any drill ever will. Our job is to build the right situations — then let your athlete figure it out. Every rep has a purpose. Every session has a plan. We don’t just run athletes through motions. We build decision-makers. Players who see the field, trust their instincts, and compete. That’s what intentional coaching looks like. And it’s what every session is built on.
We evaluate first. One session tells us where your athlete is, what they need, and how to build from there. Every rep has a purpose. Every session has a plan.
Book a SessionEvery player starts the same way tell us what needs work. From there, we build sessions around that. Not a generic slot. A plan.
High-volume reps with intentional coaching and game-speed reads. Dodging, scoring, feeding, cutting — the why, the when, and the how.
Sessions are available on demand. One athlete books, others can join. Max five players per session.
Single group session: 60 min is $75 per player, 90 min is $110 per player. Five-session and ten-session packages available.
One coach. One athlete. Intentional work on exactly what’s holding them back. Private sessions go deep on exactly what your athlete needs right now — scoring fundamentals, dodging sequences, defensive footwork, lacrosse IQ.
If it’s your first time, we always start here. One session tells us where your athlete is, what format fits them, and what to work on first.
Book a SessionPrivate sessions are location-flexible across Los Angeles — Pali Rec, Penmar, UCLA, Del Aire, and Cheviot Hills. Group sessions run on demand at the same locations. Most availability is at Pali Rec in Pacific Palisades.
Dan is a great coach who gets you ready to compete with high intensity drills that mimic game situations. Since my son has started working with him, I've noticed significant increases in his confidence with his off hand shots and his dodges and ability to free up his hands under heavy defense.
My daughter came home from her first session and immediately wanted to go back. She has played for years but this was a different level of coaching. Dan made her feel confident and pushed her in the right way. Her footwork and stick skills improved faster than I expected. She looks forward to every session.
My son is a defender and Dan took that seriously. He wasn't just running drills he was learning why he was running them. His positioning improved, his communication on the field got better, and his rec coach noticed before we even said anything. That told us everything.
My son is a junior and the recruiting process is real. Dan understood that and built sessions around what college coaches actually want to see: footwork, efficiency, and decision-making under pressure. He's sharper, faster to the ball, and his highlight film looks like a different player. We wish we had started sooner.
Coach Dan's private lacrosse training has made a big difference for my son. Through customized instruction and consistent positive feedback, my son has improved his shooting, stick skills, footwork, and dodging. Beyond the technical growth, Coach Dan is a true mentor. He has fostered my son's confidence and pushed him to be his best. We're incredibly grateful for the impact he's had on my son's development as both a player and a person.
She has always had the athleticism but the skill work wasn't there. After two months with Dan she's finishing around the cage in ways she never could before. The one-on-one attention makes all the difference. She comes home tired and happy every single time.
He is a defensive player in a world that celebrates scorers. Dan got that immediately. He trained his positioning, his footwork, his communication. The stuff that does not show up in box scores but wins games. His coach pulled us aside at tryouts to ask who he had been working with.
He played up a year this spring and held his own. That wouldn't have happened without the work he put in here. Dan pushed him to compete at a level he didn't think he was ready for. Turns out he was. The confidence is the biggest thing. He plays like he belongs now.
He is a quiet kid who lets his game do the talking. Sessions gave him the reps to back that up. His hands are cleaner, his shots are harder, and he reads the field in a way that's new. Two months in and his high school coach already has him starting. We couldn't be happier.
My son is a 2030 two-way midfielder who has been working with Dan since the beginning of the year, and the growth we've seen has been incredible. Since training with Dan, his confidence has increased tremendously, and it's shown in every aspect of his game. His dodging, shot selection, lacrosse IQ, and overall field awareness have all improved significantly. What truly sets Dan apart is how invested he is in each player's development. He goes above and beyond by reviewing game film, providing detailed feedback, and communicating before tournaments to help prepare mentally and strategically. We're excited to continue working with Dan as my son develops and begins navigating the recruiting process. Thank you for your commitment, expertise, and the positive impact you've had on his growth both as a player and as a young athlete.

Not all film is the same. Here's how we use it.
Raw footage from training. Not edited, not produced just documented. We use it to review mechanics, track progress, and see what to work on next. If you want it to stay between us, it will.
Edited reels shot at tournaments and competitions. Built to be shared recruiting profiles, college coaches, Instagram. This is finished film, ready to go.
One edited highlight reel ready to post or send.
More coverage, more content. Good if you want options to work with.
We're there all day. 5 reels from across the whole event.
Full tournament coverage plus a dedicated reel built for college coaches.
We respond within 24 hours.
We recommend starting with a private session. It gives us a chance to see your athlete's skills firsthand, evaluate the right group fit, and understand what they need most before putting them in a competitive setting. From there, we build the right plan.
