15+ years of coaching experience. Private and group training across Los Angeles built around your athlete.
Dan Murray, founder of Sessions Lacrosse, built this on one idea: real development requires real structure. Every athlete who comes through gets a plan built around where they are and where they’re going not a generic drill package. We train both sides of the ball, correct mechanics in the rep, track progress, and make sure every session has a clear purpose.
We don’t drop athletes into a group and hope for the best. We evaluate first. One session tells us where they are, what format fits them, and what to prioritize. From there, the plan is built around them.
Going out and working on your own is a great habit. But without structure, purpose, and progressions those reps don't build anything. A session has a plan. Every time.
Structure is what turns practice into real development. That's what Sessions is built on.
Find the Right ProgramEvery kid starts the same way tell us what needs work. From there, we build sessions around that. Not a generic slot. A plan.
Real reps. Real competition. Real development. Each session is 60–90 minutes of purposeful work technical skills, footwork progressions, game-relevant decisions, live situations.
Players are grouped by age and ability. Show up consistently, follow the system, and the results show up in games.
One coach. One player. One specific outcome. Private sessions go deep on exactly what your player needs right now scoring fundamentals, dodging sequences, defensive footwork, lacrosse IQ.
If it’s your first time, we always start here. One session tells us where your athlete is, what format fits them, and what to work on first.
High volume. High intensity. High competition. Skill days that expose players to a wide range of situations across SoCal multi-skill stations, offensive and defensive concepts, live game reps.
Great for players who can’t commit to weekly training or want an intense one to multi-day experience. Clinics are announced seasonally.

My daughter came home from her first session and immediately wanted to go back. She has played for years but this was a different level of coaching. Dan made her feel confident and pushed her in the right way. Her footwork and stick skills improved faster than I expected. She looks forward to every session.
Coach Dan has made a real difference for my son. The instruction is tailored to him not a one-size-fits-all approach. His shooting, stick skills, footwork, and dodging have all improved. More than the technical side, his confidence on the field is night and day. We're grateful for everything he's done.
My son is a defender and Dan took that seriously. He wasn't just running drills he was learning why he was running them. His positioning improved, his communication on the field got better, and his rec coach noticed before we even said anything. That told us everything.
Dan is a great coach who gets you ready to compete. High intensity drills that actually mimic game situations nothing feels like filler. Since my son started working with him, the improvement in his confidence with his off-hand shots and his ability to free up his hands under pressure has been clear. Real results.
My son had the skills but he was holding back not finishing plays, second-guessing himself. A few sessions in and that started to change. Dan identified exactly what was getting in his way and worked on it directly. He attacks the cage now. The hesitation is gone.
My son used to dread extra training now he asks when his next session is. Dan keeps it challenging without making it feel like punishment. He's become a smarter defender, reads plays better, and carries himself differently on the field. The work is showing up.
My son is a midfielder and Dan understood what that position demands both ends of the field, transition, lacrosse IQ. He didn't just work on one thing. After a month the difference was visible. His movement off ball improved, he was finishing in traffic, and he was talking on defense. That's a complete player.
My son is a junior and the recruiting process is real. Dan understood that and built sessions around what college coaches actually want to see footwork, efficiency, decision-making under pressure. He's sharper, faster to the ball, and his highlight film looks like a different player. We wish we had started sooner.

Not all film is the same. Here's how we use it.
Raw footage from training. Not edited, not produced just documented. We use it to review mechanics, track progress, and see what to work on next. Stays between us.
Edited reels shot at tournaments and competitions. Built to be shared recruiting profiles, college coaches, Instagram. This is finished film, ready to go.
One edited highlight reel ready to post or send.
More coverage, more content. Good if you want options to work with.
We're there all day. 5 reels from across the whole event.
Full tournament coverage plus a dedicated reel built for college coaches.
